2017 has been a bit of a strange year. I started like most with good intentions, but between celebrating a proposal, New York and well….just life, those intentions got slightly lost. Far from signing myself up to an iron man or marathon, I decided to ease myself back in, and take up the introductory offer of 2 weeks of Yoga @ Blue Cow Yoga for £30.
Blue Cow Yoga is hosted in the same building as Heartcore, and offers both ‘Dynamic’ and ‘Flow’ classes. There are a huge variety of teachers (I went pretty much every day, sometimes twice a day, and didn’t seem to have the same teacher very often), each with their unique style of class, but all incredible.
There is a soulful feel as soon as you enter the room. One of the teachers- Jonelle, had a voice that made me feel like everything was going to be okay (calling everyone darlin’ and thanking them for coming to class). In another class, Sivasana got taken up a notch with a rub of lavender oil on my forehead. Others started and ended with aspirational teachings that put you in a whole other floaty bubble to everyone else, once you left the studio and rejoined the city.
It was two weeks of bliss. Had it not been for the minor inconvenience of work in-between, I would have almost believed I was on a retreat…
